Butterflies of different shapes and colors flit from flower to flower as they silently fulfil their mission of pollination. In certain corners of the rainforest, a myriad of colorful wings flock together, creating a spectacular sight as they gather to forage or breed. Even here in the rainforest, groups of this size are rare.

Water is the lifeblood of the rainforest. The dramatic elevation drop of the waterfall creates a loud roar as well as an abundance of water vapor. The water droplets moisten the surrounding rocks and soil, attracting another kaleidoscope of butterflies to replenish essential fluids and minerals. The rain falls down, the mists rise up, butterflies arrive and depart, and the cycle of life continues.
