Young Dutchman Brings English Education into the Great Outdoors
Last September, Erwin Schreurs, a young Dutchman, settled in Hainan to start a business bringing English education into nature. Now, his students explore parks, beaches, and villages, where English becomes a tool for connecting with nature rather than a rote exercise. Every time they interact with him or with nature, Erwin sees the smiles and curiosity on their faces. "Almost every day has been fulfilling." Looking ahead, he hopes to cultivate a group of young "Hainan Ambassadors" to tell the island's stories in English on the international stage. Thanks to his efforts, a story about curiosity, nature, and educational dreams in the Hainan FTP is gradually unfolding.
