The Xin Hong Zhuan is a new type of vessel, the world’s first scientific and research ship featuring autonomous navigation, remote control, and shore-based information support. The ship was jointly developed and built by the COSCO Shipping  Group and Dalian Maritime University.

As one of the most advanced ‘smart’ ships in the world, the Xin Hong Zhuan is fully automated, making use of technological breakthroughs in expanded smart system capabilities, AI model ship control algorithms, and immersive smart teaching and training methods combining virtual and real world elements. The ship provides an excellent demonstration of China’s leading strengths and innovative capabilities in the high-tech field, high value-added ship design, and ship construction. 

During the Hainan exhibition tour, visitors will have the opportunity to see the many wonders of the Xin Hong Zhuan for themselves.
