In November, Haikou will continue to launch a series of different types of cultural performances including spoken drama, and both large and intimate concerts. These spectacular events are not to be missed!
1. Something New with Charlie Puth - Haikou
Time: November 21
Location: Wuyuanhe Stadium
Carrying the expectations of countless fans, this is not only the only “stadium” sized performance on Charlie Puth's Asian Tour, it's also his first stop.
2. The Blue Danube
Time: 8:00pm, November 21
Location: Haikou Bay Performing Arts Center
With the lights turned off throughout the show, Candlelight Concerts originate from an "Earth Hours" initiative launched by the World Wildlife Fund to bring more attention to global warming. These immersive performance activities also contribute to promoting sustainable development and the concepts of global low-carbon living.
Featuring five pianos and a clarinet, six young European Chamber Music performers will skillfully lead attendees into the profound and philosophical world of classical music.
3. Twilight
Time: 8:00pm, November 22
Location: Haikou Bay Performing Arts Center
Under the warm glow of candles, European Chamber Music performers will lead the audience to relive the theme songs of classics such as "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Game of Thrones", "The Legend of 1900", "The Greatest Showman", "La La Land", "Titanic" and "Call Me by Your Name."
4. Candlelight Concert
Time: 8:00pm, November 16
Location: Hainan Centre for the Performing Arts
Taking the audience on a journey back to younger days, this immersive candlelight concert by the International Philharmonic Orchestra will feature Chinese pop icon Jay Chou's classics such as "Can't Tell the Secret", "Rice Fragrance" and "Rainbow".
5. HEER (Blue Wild) Band - 2024 Poly Theater Tour Concert
Time: 8:00pm, November 17
Location: Haikou Bay Performing Arts Center
Promising to bring Haikou’s audiences an exciting musical experience, HEER is one of the earliest rock bands from Inner Mongolia. Mixing slick beats with the melodious sound of the horse-head fiddle, and the deep hum of throat singing, this group of performers combines traditional grasslands sounds with modern rock.
6. Breathing Wildness
Time: 7:00pm, November 9
Location: Wuyuanhe Stadium
Xu Song is a Chinese pop singer and music producer whose music is like a series of delicate paintings. With every song a work of carefully crafted art, he uses notes and words to depict the world around us with rising and falling waves of emotions. This concert’s four main parts will take listeners on a journey through time and space and bring them deep insights into social phenomena.
7. Situational Drama "Poetry in Chang'an"

Time: 2:30pm, November 2
Location: Hainan Centre for the Performing Arts
Appreciate the thousands of years of Chinese culture through poems that bring the ancient world to life in the words of literary masters such as Li Bai and Du Fu. Travel through time and space, engage in extraordinary conversations, and feel the magnificent scenes, delicate emotions, and profound philosophy described in their works.
