According to information from the Hainan Power Grid, as of 8 September, Typhoon ‘Yagi’ has affected 1.681 million customers of whom 912,000 customers have had power restored.Of the province's 79 35 kV and up substations which were shut down, 37 already have power back. Of the 836 10 kV and up lines which were damaged, 602 are once again functioning normally.

According to the Haikou Power Supply Bureau, as of the morning of the 9th, 1,589 housing complexes have been affected by typhoon power damage with power already restored to 1,191 and 398 remaining dark.
