According to the Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports, these trendy cultural products will be displayed under the concept of “New Hainan, New Fashion, and New Life”, in order to invite visitors to embark on a fashionable journey to the beautiful island province. This exhibition also aims to boost consumer spending on modern Hainan products.

A pair of large coconut carved vases, both 2.2 meters high and 90 centimeters in diameter will be on display in the Hainan National Trendy Goods Museum. Coconut carving, one of China's national intangible cultural heritage arts, dates back thousands of years in Hainan. The patterns on these two vases created by Fu Shiqiong, a provincial-level representative of coconut carving techniques, mirror the natural beauty of the tropical island and the lives of the Hainan people.
“It takes four years to make the pair of large carved coconut vases,” said Fu, who hopes that their debut at this year’s CICPE will promote the innovation and inheritance of Hainan’s coconut carving craft.

In addition to viewing the exhibits and purchasing items, visitors will be invited to experience Hainan’s mesmerizing traditional culture by interacting with intangible cultural heritage representatives on site, who will demonstrate their arts by making Li Brocade and coconut carvings, singing Li folk songs, and playing Li musical instruments.
