On June 1, 2020, the Overall Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port (the Master Plan for Hainan FTP ) was published. The Plan states that by 2025, a free trade port policy system focusing on free trade and investment facilitation will be initially established on Hainan Island, with island-wide independent customs operations to commence in due course.

Over the past three years, the core policy dividends of the Hainan Free Trade Port have gradually come to fruition, welcoming many global "firsts" to Hainan and demonstrating the vitality of Hainan FTP construction.

To mark the third anniversary of the release of the Hainan FTP master plan, Hainan International Media Center has created the poster series "Three Years of Firsts for Hainan", which introduce the unique policy advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, with a focus on “firsts”.
