“At this year’s CICPE, we inked cooperation agreements with over 20 firms, with total transaction values hitting 1 billion yuan ($145 million),” said Liu Huiliang, Vice President of Hainan Govking High-Tech Dairy Co., Ltd. Liu added that the company will bring even more high-quality imported products to put on display at next year’s Expo.
Indonesia's largest coffee brand, the Kapal Api Group, made its debut at this year’s Hainan Expo. “We have held talks with a number of world renowned coffee brands including Starbucks, Nestle, Illy, %Arabica, and Luckin at the coffee industry forum during the Expo,” said Jia Jiawen, a China market representative for the Kapal Api Group.
According to Jia, they will capitalize on the Hainan Free Trade Port’s (FTP) preferential policies for importing and processing products in order to deepen cooperation with Hainan’s local coffee brands.
Global accounting firm Ernst & Young has shared several case studies on FTP policies and corporate services at this year’s CICPE, helping to convince more companies to set up branches in Hainan. Huang Hengzhi, a partner at the Ernst & Young Hainan Branch, said that they also intend to take part in the 4th CICPE, and see great promise in the FTP thanks to the proven effects of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Initiative.
