Hainan Through My Eyes⑪: The Forest Guardian

By / HIMC / Updated: 23:16,18-December-2022

When a single tree finds its tree friends, that is what we call a forest. Their roots grow deep, their leaves soak up the sun, they help filter water, and they pump oxygen into the air. They keep the circle of life going in a continuous cycle. Without them, mankind would be no more.

The forest guardians were once occasional visitors to the rainforest. Nowadays, they are always on the lookout for illegal logging, poaching, and forest fires, ensuring that no harm comes to the rainforest which belongs to no one. Forest guardians like Wei Fuliang dedicate their lives to protecting this vast expanse of green, one of the most important hues of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
