Dongzhai Port, in northeastern Hainan, is located in Yanfeng Town. It was formed in 1605 when the Great Qiongzhou Earthquake led to the sinking of 72 villages. The waters of the sea rushed in and formed Dongzhai Port. Stretching along more than 28 kilometers of coastline, the mangrove forest here is the largest coastal forest in China.
