Sanya River National Wetland Park is located in the center of Sanya, covering a total area of over 1843 hectares, of which around 657 hectares is wetland. This puts the park's wetland coverage at nearly 36%. The park is divided into five main areas: a wetland conservation area, a restoration area, a wetland ecological function demonstration area, a public activity area and a management service area. The park is set to become the only fluvial-type national wetland park in Hainan taking in mountain, river, forest, farmland, lake and grassland vistas.
