The Meishe River National Wetland Park located in Haikou, the capital of Hainan province, and covering a total area of more than 450 hectares, is a newly designated national park.
The park currently features scenic spots include a central green space, orchards, artificial wetlands, the egret beach, a table tennis square, a children's playground, and an ornithological science museum.
Boasting the largest artificial terraced wetlands in China, the park has over 300 kinds of wild vascular plants and over 130 kinds of wild vertebrates.
