The Limu Mountain is one of the well-preserved original tropical forest areas in Hainan, and covers a total area of 12,889 hectares. The main peak rises 1,411.7 meters above sea level, with more than 4,300 species of animals and plants have been spotted in the area. It is also the birthplace of Hainan's three major rivers - the Nandu, the Wanquan, and the Changhua, making it well-known as "the heart of the island". Limu Mountain is the ancestral land of the Li people.
