Changjiang Li Autonomous County (pop. 254,100) lies on the western coast of Hainan island, with a total area of 1,617km². Changjiang, also known as the "Home of the Li Mountains and Sea", has unique Li culture and many great places to visit, such as mountains, seas, forests, fields, lakes, rivers, wetlands, and caves. 63.6%, or nearly 110,000 hectares of Changjiang County is forested. There are 17 rivers in the county, which boasts 63.7 km of coastline. Changjiang is poetically known as the "Land of Mangoes" and the "Country of Blossoming Kapok Trees".
