Hainan Through My Eyes ②: An Island of Opportunity for All

Fullsing Internet Industrial Park, otherwise known as Fullsing city, built in 2015, is one of Hainan’s 11 key industrial parks and has become an important site for implementing the island’s free trade port policies and a pilot area for business incubation. Hainan’s pristine natural environment and superior business environment led Wu Bing, a Chinese-American, here.

Five years ago, Wu Bing and his team set up a company at Fullsing city that provides smart medical treatment services. As an overseas Chinese returnee, Wu Bing successfully established a business at Fullsing, an institution teeming with innovation and opportunities. Wu Bing realized the extent of entrepreneurship opportunities on offer in Haikou and wanted to help other entrepreneurs looking to set up their businesses in Hainan. So, he joined Fullsing in establishing the International Offshore Innovation Demonstration Zone, which assists international talents in opening their companies in Hainan.

As a foreign passport holder, Wu Bing has gone through many of the trials and tribulations experienced by foreigners when opening a company in Hainan, such as unfamiliarity with policies and trouble finding local suppliers. The International Offshore Innovation Demonstration Zone has allowed Wu Bing to tap into his language proficiency and prior experience to help even more overseas projects land in Hainan smoothly. To date, he and his team have assisted in landing dozens of overseas sci-tech projects from as far afield as the USA, Israel, and Russia. “With the policy that will be released in the future, we do see a lot of opportunities here in Hainan. We will work hard to attract more good overseas projects and talents to Hainan,” said Wu Bing.

In this episode of “Hainan Through My Eyes”, we learn how Wu Bing and his team help dream seekers from overseas make their entrepreneurial dreams come true in Hainan’s open and innovative environment.
