During the National Day holiday, there are more than 50 ships entering and leaving Yangpu port every day. The maritime department of Yangpu is keeping its services open during the holiday. As of 11 a.m. on October 5th, the port has supervised 285 ships during the holiday, with a cargo throughput of nearly 600,000 tons. At 7:30 in the morning, law enforcement personnel from the maritime department took a patrol ship to inspect the illegal operation, channel occupation and the anchoring situation. At the same time, safety supervision was also carried out on ships docked at the port. Han Zhuangheng, the staff member of Yangpu Maritime Safety Administration said, “The container ships at Xiaochantan Wharf are mainly liner based. We carry out overlapping shifts to provide 24-hour coverage during the holiday for key positions, ensuring an orderly maritime business operation.” Yangpu International Container Terminal is one of the most important terminals in Yangpu Port and the largest modern container terminal in Hainan. During the National Day holiday, there are 5 ships entering and leaving the terminal on average every day. Yangpu Maritime Safety Administration uses various methods, such as its traffic management system and CCTV system, to carry out the real-time monitoring of ships, in a bid to provide traffic services for ships entering and leaving the port.
