Expo Close-Up: RMB150 mil. Yacht Unveiled at Expo Yacht Show

The 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) Yacht Show is running from July 26-30 in the public marina at Hainan National Sailing Base in Haikou, with a luxury yacht valued at RMB150 million unveiled. 



By July 25, preparations for the Yacht Show had more or less been completed. This yacht, valued at RMB150 million, has just docked and the crew aboard are currently completing pre-show preparations. CHEN WEIDONG

The primary exhibition area for this year’s CICPE Yacht Show is the public marina at the National Sailing Base in Haikou. Covering an area of 180,000 m², the exhibition area includes four themed pavilions from the Netherlands, the United States, Italy and Germany, with over 200 yachts on display. Over 20 themed events and activities are due to take place during the show.

The number of yachts taking part in the 2nd CICPE Yacht Show is up 90% from the first show, with international brands comprising around 45% of the total. Of the yachts participating this year, around 27% measure over 40 ft, 7% measure over 60 ft, with the longest yacht coming in at 124 ft.
