The first Global Healthcare Consumer Forum is slated to be held from July 26^th to 27^th in Haikou, Hainan Province, during the Second China International Consumer Products Expo (also called the Hainan Expo, scheduled to be held from 26^th to 30^th), according to the organizing committee of the Expo.

According to Zeng Song, Executive President of the Forum, a healthcare consumer destination boasts advanced medical technologies, superior services, and a pleasant environment. Hainan, a tropical island where each season seems like a gentle summer, is an excellent place for the recuperation of patients with chronic diseases thanks to the island’s great weather, environment, and air quality.

Hainan's Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone is on the path to becoming part of China’s medical vanguard, bringing in many excellent international medicines and medical equipment & technologies. Some new anti-cancer drugs that have just been approved in the United States, such as Ripretinib, used to treat adults with advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), can be made available within just few hours in the Lecheng Pilot Zone.

With the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, more preferential policies will be passed for the Lecheng Pilot Zone, laying the foundation to develop the island of Hainan into a model of medical care for consumers across China.
