Li Zeyuan, a vehicle importer and Hainan Expo exhibitor, explained that the vehicles are imported according to the customs requirements under Hainan’s zero-tariff policies. "This is the second time that we are bringing luxury cars to the Expo. Thanks to the strong spillover effect of the first Expo last year, we received a lot of orders. I have great confidence in the success of the 2nd Expo," said Li Zeyuan.

Zero-tariff imports for vehicles are a unique policy of the Hainan Free Trade Port. With the full implementation of Hainan’s zero-tariff automobile policy in 2022, Hainan is expected to become China’s next big port for imported vehicles. The policy will help the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port in many areas including ports, transportation, exhibitions, yachts, and tourism.
