According to the notice issued by Hainan Provincial COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control Headquarters on March 16th, all overseas arrivals who have a history of travel from the countries or regions severely affected by COVID-19 within the past 14 days will be transferred to the designated places for 14-day concentrated medical observation from 7 a.m. on March 16th in the port cities of Hainan such as Haikou, Sanya and Qionghai.
The notice requires that for the arrivals who have a history of travel from the countries or regions severely affected by COVID-19 within the past 14 days and come to Hainan to transfer to other provinces and cities (except Beijing), the municipal and prefectural COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control Headquarters and the relevant department of the provincial headquarters should transfer the ones with medical symptoms to designated medical institutions or conduct concentrated medical observation, while the related departments should direct those without medical symptoms to transit normally.
The notice clarifies that all overseas arrivals who have a history of travel from the countries or regions severely affected by COVID-19 within the past 14 days will be transferred to the designated places for 14-day concentrated medical observation from 7 a.m. on March 16th in the port cities of Hainan such as Haikou, Sanya and Qionghai. For the arrivals with special circumstances who do need to take home quarantine measures, they can only conduct home quarantine after their information and circumstances have been evaluated by the municipal and prefectural COVID-19 Pandemic Prevention and Control Headquarters where the port is located and approved by the provincial headquarters. During home quarantine, they should strictly follow the relevant medical prevention and control requirements.
