According to the requirements of Hainan COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters and based on the status quo of the epidemic prevention in Hainan, as of 16:00 on March 8, the headquarters confirmed that the newly added Xiuying District of Haikou City was a low-risk area of the COVID-19 epidemic. Until now, the 26 counties and units (among them, the administrative districts under the jurisdiction of Haikou and Sanya belong to “units”) in Hainan Province all turn to be low-risk areas.

The headquarters requires that cities, counties (districts) should still clearly understand the complexity of the current epidemic prevention and control as well as the economic and social development situation, and enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency in coordinating the work of district-level precise prevention and comprehensive resumption of production, to effectively safeguard the daily life of the people and ensure social stability, in a bid to accelerate the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port with Chinese characteristics.
