As Autumn ripens and covers the China in all in its fiery array of seasonal revelry, many tourists, local and foreign, throng to scenic spots to appreciate the red leaves.

Pofengling is a hill widely known for its autumnal covering of red leaves, and is a seasonal favorite among Beijingers. With just 52 km from downtown Beijing, it is located at Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District.

The viewing area of red leaves is about 330 acres and the 6km-long path for hiking is a moderate path due to the gentle slope of the mountain. This path is a considered as a touring path for flower appreciation during spring, a path for coolness in summer, a path for viewing red leaves during autumn and a path for appreciating snow in winter.

The following are several mesmerizing photos of Pofengling in all its autumn glory, truly resembling a path to fairyland. The viewing area of red leaves is about 330 acres and the 6km-long path for hiking is a moderate path due to the gentle slope of the mountain.
