Hainan Provincial Health Commission announced that from 00:00 to 12:00 on February 5th, 2 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) infection had been reported, with 2 new severe cases and 1 relieved from severe condition. Hainan has reported a total of 91 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus, 12 severe cases, 1 death case and 4 discharged cases.

Among the confirmed cases, 22 cases were in Sanya, 16 in Haikou, 11 in Wanning, 10 in Danzhou, 1 in Wenchang, 6 in Qionghai, 2 in Dongfang, 5 in Lingao County, 4 in Lingshui Li Autonomous County, 4 in Chengmai County,  3 in Ding'an County, 3 in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, 2 in Baoting Li and Miao Autonomous County, 1 in Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County and 1 in Ledong Li Autonomous County.
