Hainan Provincial Health Commission announced that from 00:00 to 24:00 on February 3rd, 9 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) infection had been reported, with 1 new severe case, 0 new death, 1 relieved from severe condition, and 0 new discharged. Among the new confirmed cases, 1 case was in Haikou City, 1 in Sanya City, 1 in Danzhou City, 3 in Wanning City, 2 in Ding’an County, and 1 in Chengmai County. The new severe case was in Danzhou City.

As of 24:00 on February 3rd, Hainan had reported a total of 79 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus, 10 severe cases, 1 death case and 4 discharged cases.

Among the confirmed cases, 14 cases were in Haikou, 18 in Sanya, 8 in Danzhou, 1 in Wenchang, 6 in Qionghai, 11 in Wanning, 1 in Dongfang, 3 in Chengmai County, 4 in Lingao County, 5 in Lingshui Li Autonomous County, 1 in Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, 3 in Ding'an County, 3 in Changjiang County, and 1 in Ledong County.

As of 24:00 on February 3rd, 1893 close contacts have been traced, the commission said, adding that among them, 863 have been discharged from medical observation, with 1030 others still under medical observation at home or at the designated facilities.
