As of 12:00 on February 2nd, Hainan has reported a total of 63 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the virus, with 9 cases in critical condition, 1 death case and 2 discharged cases.
Among the confirmed cases, 11 are in Haikou, 17 in Sanya, 6 in Danzhou, 5 in Qionghai, 8 in Wanning, 1 in Dongfang, 2 in Chengmai, 4 in Lingao, 5 in Lingshui, 1 in Qiongzhong, 1 in Ding'an County, 1 in Changjiang, and 1 in Ledong.
As of 12:00 on February 2nd, 1643 close contacts have been traced, the commission said, adding that among them, 616 have been discharged from medical observation, with 1027 others still under medical observation at home or at the designated facilities.
