On the afternoon of January 31, the Information Office of Hainan Province announced at the second press conference that as of 12:00 on January 31, 51 confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) have been reported in the province, among which 8 are severe case, 1 death case, and 1 discharge case. 

As of 12:00 on January 31, 1265 close contacts have been traced, among whom 190 have been discharged from medical observation and 1075 are still under medical observation at home or at the designated facilities.
