As of 7am on January 28th, another 7 cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) have been confirmed with 1 in Haikou, 3 in Sanya, 1 in Qionghai, 1 in Dongfang and 1 in Qiongzhong. None is in critical conditions and no death case is reported. None has been discharged from hospital.

By 7am January 28^th, a total 40 cases have been confirmed in Hainan, including 5 in critical conditions, and the pneumonia situation had resulted in 1 death in the province. None has been discharged from hospital. Among the confirmed cases, 7 are in Haikou, 14 in Sanya, 5 in Danzhou, 7 in Wanning, 1 in Qionghai, 1 in Dongfang, 1 in Lingao, 1 in Lingshui, 2 in Chengmai and 1 in Qiongzhong.

By 7am January 28^th, a total of 558 close contacts have been traced, and 528 are under medical observation while 31 others have been discharged.
