On December 30^th, the second stage project of Sanya duty free shop opened at Haitang bay in Sanya. The huge shop consists of shopping mall, restaurants, and other entertainment facilities. 37 restaurants have opened in the duty free shop so far including 4 Michelin starred restaurants.

Citizens and tourists are attracted by the shell shape of the shop building. The shop has a spacious and comfortable shopping area with plenty of exclusive products. The second stage project consists of four topic areas such as life area, international innovation area and international food fair. The building covers 64,000 square meters and numerous international brands have entered into it.

As one of the highlights of the building, Yunjie bridge is designed by Dutton who has ever engaged in designing Louvre glass pyramid in France. The bridge connects the Sanya duty free shop and the second phase project building. In addition, the 3D fountain provides a dreamy experience for visitors.

The shop manager indicated that the second phase project would meet people’s need of taking a vacation, shopping and entertainment. The second phase project will provide new forms of tourism retails industry with the first phase project so as to create a high-end tourism shopping center.

Restaurants are essential to gain popularity. A commercial complex is not only a shopping center but also a leisure center of taking holiday. 37 restaurants have opened in the duty free shop including 4 Michelin starred restaurants. The mall was bustling at the opening day, especially the restaurants. Tourists were in queue at some dessert shops.

Ever since the opening of the Sanya duty free shop, a tourism shopping center with plenty of exclusive brands and a cozy environment has been created due to the improved departure tax refund policy. The second stage project will help construct a Hainan international tourism consumption center in Sanya.
