The main teaching buildings of Harrow International School (Haikou) have been capped recently, according to the news from Yanlord Land (Hainan) Co., Ltd., the project agent of the school.

The model rooms of the dormitory, classroom, and kindergarten activity unit were completed for the first time this week, and are being optimized in accordance with the requirements of Harrow School. Harrow International School(Haikou) is expected to open in September 2020.

Located in the Jiangdong District at the east end of Xingyang Avenue and the north end of Jiangdong Avenue, Harrow International School (Haikou) covers an area of 145 mu (about 96, 666 sqm) and is going to enroll 1824 students. It consists of the full-time and boarding schools of kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school and high school, with 1800 degrees. The construction project includes the teaching buildings ( for elementary school, junior high school and high school), dormitory buildings, kindergartens, complex buildings (including basements), swimming pools, etc..

At present, with the step-up construction, the school has started the recruitment of teachers, whose sources mainly include recruiting in-service mature teachers from the UK, cultivating teachers from faculty base, and transferring core teachers through the school system.

According to the relevant person from Haikou Municipal Government, the project is to build a high-quality international school in Haikou Jiangdong New District.
