On July 14, Sanya released the "Sanya language barrier-free international city building project plan", which embarks on the construction of the first language barrier-free international city in China.

According to the person in charge of the Sanya Municipal Service Center, Sanya will promote the construction from the aspects of the signage system, service outlets, the multilingual translation service, and the multilingual information system in three phases: near-term, medium-term and long-term.

Specifically, it will integrate various foreign application scenarios such as tourism consumption, government affairs, public services, and business activities, to establish an open and shared international language service system, combining Foreign Service centers, immigration service centers, tourism information consultation centers, tourist service centers and the municipal service center to create a convenient, intelligent and humanized service platform, and provide the international personnel with 24-hour translation services covering multiple domains and languages.

In the future, it will be more comfortable, convenient and efficient for the international personnel to travel, work, live and invest in Sanya.

The construction of Sanya language barrier-free international city includes five highlights.

First, to establish a foreigners consulting agency service center in the Dadonghai area, providing various types of foreign-related matters such as policy consultation, guidance agency, complaint feedback and other services;

Second, to establish of an immigration service center, providing one-stop service for foreigners, such as employment guidance and job application;

Third, to open a 24-hour foreign language service line by relying on the 12345 platform, providing multilingual voice guidance and remote human translation services; 

Fourth, to provide multilingual information about food, accommodation, travel, shopping and entertainment;

Fifth, to establish an international language public service cloud platform integrating tourism, government affairs, cultural and sports events, transportation, public services, etc., providing multilingual real-time translation, image translation, information query, electronic map and other multilingual supporting services through 5G+AI artificial intelligence technology and big data analysis.
