In 2024, foreign-invested companies grew by 19.2%, trade with Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries surged 40%, and 77 new international air routes were opened. These achievements set the stage for Hainan’s preparation for Special Customs Operations.

Gao Renbo—a CPPCC Hainan Provincial Committee Member—emphasized Hainan’s unique advantages for global business expansion through policies like EF accounts, QDLP, and QFLP. Meanwhile, Bai Jing and Chen Fang noted the critical role of visa-free policies, green trade, and cross-border e-commerce in attracting foreign talent and investment. As Hainan deepens cooperation with developed nations and BRI free trade zones, it is poised to become a leading model of openness and innovation.
