Wangxia Township is located in the central area of the Bawang Mountain National Nature Reserve in Changjiang Li Autonomous County, on Hainan Island. The beautiful environment and unique cultural tourism projects here are attracting visitors from all over the country.

Huangdi Cave (which literally means Emperor Cave) is one of the most popular scenic spots in Wangxia Township. It’s located on the south bank of the confluence of the Nanjiao and the Hongshui River. It measures about 60 meters wide, 130 meters deep, and 25 meters high.

This large limestone cave was active from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age. It is warm in winter and cool in summer and is famous for various scenes formed by stalactites.

The name of the cave comes from a scene in the cave that reminds people of an emperor sitting on a throne, with a guard on each side.

Visit Huangdi Cave to see the wonders of nature, and get a feel for the area’s unique Li minority culture.
