If you want to see pandas and peacocks growing on trees, then Qingti Village in Hainan is just the place for a wonderful weekend adventure.
Facing a lake on three sides and covered with lush green vegetation, it is a national forest village recognized by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. A "forest village" is a village with well-preserved natural landscapes, a large forested area, a strong forestry industry, and a good living environment. It was also certified as a three-star beautiful village in 2018.
The tropical forests have various medicinal as well as cash crops such as the betel nut.
For tourists, one of the delights of walking through the ancient trees is spotting and admiring the paintings on them. They range from images of the panda, peacock and woodpecker to the squirrel, owl and horse.
Qingti also has an ancient history. It is a Neolithic site dating back 7,000 years.
Check out the delights of the place through the lens of our photographer Ling Yang.
