Visiting Dongshui Harbor, located in Laoyu Town, Chengmai County, Hainan, is just like walking into an art gallery. The intense blues of the skies and water mingle with the yellows of the sand, just as they might on the canvas of a master painter.
Dongshui Harbor Village, located on the waterfront, is a fishing village dating back over 1,000 years. Nowadays, over 4,000 people live in the prosperous village, which still mainly depends on the bounty of the ocean. More than 100 village residents are over the age of 80, earning it the nickname of “Longevity Village”.
