With a total construction area of 17,000 square meters, the building will be the command and dispatch center for the Tegal Luar Electric Multiple Units (EMU) Depot on the outskirt of West Java Province's capital Bandung, KCIC said.
KCIC said the Tegal Luar EMU depot is the first "bullet train home" in Indonesia, adding that it will become a professional workplace for the train inspection, testing and maintenance after completion.
With a speed of 350 km per hour, the high-speed railway will cut the journey between Jakarta and Bandung, the capital of West Java province, from more than three hours to around 40 minutes.
