Recently Galeries Lafayette has confirmed its participation at the first China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), which will be held in Haikou from May 7 to 10, 2021.

Galeries Lafayette, a leading French and world-renowned department store brand, was established over 120 years ago. It has 65 stores around the world and is devoted to providing global consumers with select fashion brands and a variety of shopping choices.

Galeries Lafayette also has a long history with the Chinese market and Chinese consumers. The brand's first store in China was opened in Beijing in 2013, and the Shanghai Flagship Store held its grand opening in 2019. Galeries Lafayette also signed an agreement a few months ago to set up a third store in Guiyang in the spring of 2022.

Another eight stores will be opened across China by 2025, bringing the unique fashionable experience of Galeries Lafayette and a French lifestyle to more Chinese consumers, said Nicolas Houzé, CEO of Galeries Lafayette, speaking about the company's China business expansion plan.

CICPE provides an excellent platform for buyers to connect with global high-end brands and to understand the Hainan and even the entire Chinese market. According to Galeries Lafayette, participation in CICPE reflects the brand’s confidence in both the Chinese economy and in the development of Hainan Free Trade Port.
