The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia officially opened in Haikou on October 10^th, which is the first consulate in Hainan ever since the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The Consulate General applied to Haikou Public Security Traffic Police Department for the registration of motor vehicle. Under the direction of the provincial traffic office department, the Haikou Traffic Police Station specially opened a green channel for the consulate general to register the new vehicle.

It is reported that the motor vehicle license plate of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Haikou is with white characters on a black background, the five numbers followed by a white character for “consulate”. At 10 o'clock on the 20th of November, the responsible personnel of the traffic police department granted the exclusive motor vehicle license plate to the staff of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Haikou.

It is the first motor vehicle license plate provided to the consulate in the history of motor vehicle management in Hainan Province.
