From the invited guest to the chairman of the international jury of the "Golden Coconut Award", it is the second time for the famous French actress Isabelle Huppert to attend the Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF).

At the meeting, Isabelle Huppert said that Chinese and foreign filmmakers gathered at the HIIFF with abundant industry resources, making it an important window for the outside world to look into the film industry.

"I'm very happy to participate in the selection of the Golden Coconut Awards with outstanding filmmakers. I believe this is a brand new experience for everyone in the jury. During the film festival, we can share our perspectives and get to know each other with excellent filmmakers from all over the world," Isabelle Huppert said that watching films turns to become a pure experience for her again in the film festival.

As a film enthusiast, Isabelle Huppert held the view that the charm of cinema lies in collecting different types of films, while that of film festival is to discover and present those films. As four of the 13 shortlisted films are from China this time, she expressed her expectation to find more excellent Chinese films on this platform.

Up to now, Isabelle Huppert has appeared in more than 120 films. She is the most nominated actress for the César Award with 16 nominations and has won the award for Best Actress twice at Cannes Film Festival and twice at Venice Film Festival. She was also appointed as head of the jury for the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.
