Hainan signs contract with CCPIT to promote the Hainan FTP

On November 26th, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the People's Government of Hainan Province signed a memorandum to deepen their cooperation and jointly held the Hainan Free Trade Port Promotion Forum as well as the Hainan Free Trade Port Service Center of the CCPIT unveiling ceremony.

Attendees from CCPIT and other foreign chambers of commerce in China stated that given the island province’s favorable business environment, Hainan is attractive to many international investors.

Nie Wenhui, Director of the Development Research Department of the CCPIT, said that the 15 international chambers of commerce in China visiting Hainan included representatives from developed countries such as the United States and Japan, as well as representatives from emerging countries such as Mexico. "Through this inspection and experience exchange, we hope that the international chambers of commerce in China will develop a deeper understanding of Hainan, and will tell other member companies in the association more about Hainan. In the future, the CCPIT will continue to support the development of Hainan and organize  trips for more international companies to visit Hainan."

Li Qingshuang, Director of the Department of International Relations of the CCPIT, said that Hainan has advantages in the areas of policy, business environment, geographical location, opening up, and development potential. Hainan has attracted more and more entrepreneurs, investors, and talented individuals from both China and across the globe. Hainan is sure to become a hot spot for corporate investment, and will also make great strides in technological innovation, talent introduction, tourism, and shopping.

Wichai Thawisin, Vice President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce in China, also said that given the preferential Free Trade Port policies, Thai companies hope to strengthen their cooperation with Hainan in tourism and medical treatment.

Alan Beebe, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in China, said that American companies are very concerned about the business environment of the Hainan Free Trade Port. American companies from healthcare and Internet industries will seek opportunities to come to Hainan.

Chen Hongliang, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT Hainan Sub Council, said that in the future, the Council will invite more overseas businessmen in China to come to Hainan for site visits, promoting the further development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
