Recently, 19.5 tons of fresh coconuts grown in Qiongshan District of Haikou City were successfully shipped via Xinjiang's Alashankou Port to Belarus, marking the first time that fresh Hainan coconuts have entered the Belarus market.
"Following a successful export of passion fruit, we have expanded into the Belarus market with fresh coconuts. From policy interpretation to production and processing standards, and finally to issuing certificates and releasing the shipment, targeted customs services have addressed our export concerns well and greatly enhanced our confidence in further expanding into the international market," said Li Bin, head of the Hainan Lianyue International Trade Company. This successful export not only adds to the many trade categories between Hainan and Belarus but also lays a solid foundation for further expanding the province's tropical fruit exports.
To ensure the smooth entry of fresh Hainan coconuts to the Belarus market, Haikou Customs established a special service team to proactively review the country’s agricultural produce quarantine requirements, guide companies in establishing quality management standards for fresh coconut exports, and implement standardized control over the entire process, including agricultural base management, packaging, and storage. Meanwhile, thanks to a variety of measures including opening a priority inspection channel for fresh agricultural products, adopting a collaborative mechanism combining pre-export technical guidance and efficient inspection during export, and rapidly issuing quarantine certificates through the "Customs Cloud Certification" system, customs clearance time has been reduced as much as possible, ensuring the high quality of the fresh fruit.
In the future, fresh agricultural product customs clearance facilitation measures will continue to be optimized to fully support the export of Hainan's high-quality tropical agricultural products to international markets, raising the reputation of Hainan’s tropical agricultural products globally.
