On August 26, at the opening plenary of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Bangkok Roundtable in Thailand, Ban Ki-Moon, Chairman of the BFA, announced that BFA Annual Conference 2025 is tentatively scheduled to be held on March 25-28 at Boao, Hainan Province of China.
Ban Ki-Moon stressed that, facing the slow recovery of the world economy and escalation of regional conflicts, humanity is confronted with many common challenges, and the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals is lagging behind. Asia plays an important role in maintaining world peace and promoting global development. The Annual Conference 2025 of Boao Forum for Asia will focus on Asia while closely monitoring major global issues, and facilitate international cooperation in seeking common development and building a shared future.
The BFA Bangkok Roundtable is held to provide food for thought for the UN Summit of the Future next month, explore ideas and solutions for addressing global challenges from an Asian perspective, and to promote the implementation of UN 2030 Agenda in Asia.
