On April 27, Hainan Airport Infrastructure Co., Ltd. (Hainan Airport) released its operational performance report for the first quarter of 2026.

The company achieved an operating revenue of CNY 742 million, a year-on-year increase of 59.87%, fully demonstrating the strong development resilience and endogenous growth potential of the Hainan Free Trade Port's aviation gateways, including Haikou Meilan, Sanya Phoenix, and Qionghai Boao.

According to the firm's "March 2026 Airport Operations Production Data Report" disclosed on April 15, the nine airports under its control and management, both in and outside Hainan, handled 16.9941 million passengers and 114,800 tons of cargo and mail in Q1 2026, representing year-on-year growth of 5.17% and 11.63%, respectively.

Among them, the three airports located on Hainan Island—Haikou Meilan, Sanya Phoenix, and Qionghai Boao—saw total throughput of 16.5044 million passengers and 110,500 tons of cargo and mail, up 5.27% and 11.30%, respectively.

Industry insiders have noted that the continued recovery in the aviation passenger and cargo markets has provided solid support for the high-quality development of the FTP's aviation industry.
