On March 14, the 30-day countdown ceremony for the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (also known as the “Hainan Expo”) was launched at Haikou’s Qilou Historical and Cultural Quarter.

The official 30-day countdown installation for the 6th Consumer Products Expo was unveiled.

At the launch ceremony, Hainan Tourism International Promotion Ambassadors from more than ten countries—including Germany, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus, and Pakistan—gathered at the site together with nearly 40 domestic and international influencers from platforms such as Douyin and Xiaohongshu. They shared their expectations for this year’s expo.

Local influencer “Hainan Watermelon Girl” (“海南西瓜妹”) invited her followers to visit Hainan and experience the island’s “double happiness”: on one side, the island charm and delicious food; on the other, the global premium products and international trends showcased at the Expo.

Baozi, a Hainan Tourism International Promotion Ambassador from Germany, who has previously attended the expo, noted that most international exhibitions are primarily aimed at industry professionals, while the Hainan Expo is also designed for the general public and consumers.

Jane Kerekes, a Hainan Tourism International Promotion Ambassador from Canada, said he hopes to see more representative Canadian products and lifestyles showcased at the expo, and also looks forward to the event further strengthening exchanges and connections between China and Canada.

After the ceremony, media representatives and influencer guests followed two themed routes to experience Haikou’s urban charm in an immersive way. Through short videos and livestreams, they will continue documenting the experience, allowing online audiences to get an early glimpse of both Hainan and this global consumer event.

The land route featured the “Laobacha · Haikou Bus”, offering a city tour that showcases Haikou’s vibrant street life and cultural heritage.

The sea route set sail from Dongpo Old Wharf aboard the “Hailv 03 cruise ship”. Sailing along Haikou Bay, the route connects several city landmarks—including Century Bridge, the Wormhole Library, and Sky Mountain—allowing participants to capture the city’s landscape, openness, and coastal vitality.

At the same time, Haikou has launched a 30-day online interactive campaign across Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Weibo. Netizens are invited to post photos or videos related to the Expo and tag the official account of the China International Consumer Products Expo. The campaign will continue until the expo opens on April 13.

While Haikou, the main venue of the expo, continues to gain momentum, countdown advertisements have also begun appearing in Sanya, a tropical coastal city, and in the Bo’ao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Qionghai, two important sub-venues of this year’s expo.

With the official launch of the 30-day countdown, attention surrounding the 6th Hainan Expo is steadily building.

On April 13, premium consumer goods from around the world will gather in Haikou, Hainan. Haikou warmly invites you to share in new opportunities for openness and join this global celebration.
