On the morning of November 26, a delegation of media reporters from 33 Global South countries visited the Hainan Automobile Proving Ground, an important base for the research, development, and testing of China's automobile industry.
As China's only comprehensive automobile testing base in a hot, humid, tropical environment, the Hainan Automobile Proving Ground attracted considerable attention from Global South countries' journalists with its natural conditions of high temperature, high humidity, and high corrosion, as well as its diverse testing scenarios.
After visiting the proving ground's exhibition hall, the media group continued to learn about on-site operations. They observed the busy testing scenes on the tracks, where vehicles were being put through a range of rigorous tests under the control of professional engineers.

Osman Jatta, a reporter from Gambia's QTV, expressed his excitement after experiencing part of the testing process: "I'm very happy to visit this automobile proving ground. I witnessed the testing procedures, and it felt incredibly exciting. Many countries face serious issues with road traffic, and testing like this can help solve those problems and improve how we travel. These are things I've never seen before, and I'm really excited about it."
Vignesh P. Venkatesh, an editor from The Hindu, praised the overall performance and strength of China's new energy vehicles after his own experience. He noted that China's development of NEVs is a strong strategic move, that Chinese NEVs are already common on the streets of India, and that India's electric vehicle industry has promising prospects.
Journalists from the Global South countries generally agreed that the advanced facilities and professional operations of the Hainan Automobile Proving Ground reflect the rapid development of China's NEV industry, while also creating new opportunities for cooperation with Global South countries in automobile technology.
