Chinese premiere of James Cameron's sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar: Fire and Ash" to be held at in Sanya at the 7th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF).

Imported and dubbed by China Film Group Corporation, and jointly distributed by China Film Group Co.,Ltd and Huaxia Film Distribution Company，20th Century Fox’s 2025 blockbuster "Avatar: Fire and Ash," will be simultaneously released in both China and North America on December 19.

With China Film Group Corporation's proprietary CINITY film projection system providing technical support and presenting an unimaginable big-screen experience, the film's domestic premiere will take place at the 7th HIIFF. At the same time as his story takes to the silver screen and leads the audience back to the magnificent world of Pandora, legendary director and creator of the Avatar series, James Cameron, will be in attendance in Sanya.

The 7th HIIFF will take place in the southern Chinese province of Hainan’s Sanya City in December 2025. As an important event in the Chinese film industry, HIIFF has built a high-level dialogue platform for filmmakers from around the world that strengthens international exchange and cooperation, and promotes the prosperous creativity and development of the film industry.
