The 2026 Wenchang International Aviation & Aerospace Forum will be held in Wenchang, Hainan, from August 24 to 26. Themed "Rockets Return to the Free Trade Port, Satellites Take Off from the Aerospace City," the forum will focus on commercial space launch services, rocket and satellite R&D and manufacturing, aerospace data applications and big data, and international cooperation in aerospace. The event will bring together leading aerospace experts and academics, government representatives, executives from major companies, investors, and representatives from international organizations.

Wenchang International Aerospace City is China’s only major aerospace hub featuring a low-latitude coastal launch site capable of regular commercial space launches.

2026 marks the first full year in the implementation of island-wide special customs operations across the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP). Hainan has enhanced policy support in areas such as zero-tariff policies for aerospace equipment, cross-border movement of production factors, and international cooperation in science and technology. Against this backdrop, the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site has started frequent launches and has made notable progress in testing the reusable Long March 10B rocket.

Wenchang has also begun to develop an aerospace industry chain covering rocket assembly, satellite manufacturing, launch services, and data applications.

The three-day forum will feature an opening ceremony, a main forum, and multiple parallel sessions focused on industrial cooperation, investment, technological innovation, application scenarios, and aerospace tourism.

During the forum, the event organizers will host business-government matchmaking meetings, and participants will also conduct industry research visits.
