Representatives of foreign economic and trade institutions conduct an industrial tour and exchange activities in Haikou's Jiangdong New Area.

On April 1, the Hainan Provincial Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced that it has actively sought the participation of leading overseas enterprises and business associations in the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) and the Global Industry Investment Promotion Conference for the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), further enhancing the events' international makeup.

Touting the special customs operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port as a key opportunity and leveraging the CCPIT's sytem resources, the provincial committee has extended invitations to merchants worldwide, focusing on cooperation in tourism, culture, and sports, the digital economy and AI applications, value-added wood processing, health and wellness, medicine (including aesthetic medicine), and cross-border trade. 60 enterprises from Italy, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, and the Hong Kong and Macao SARs have RSVP'ed so far. Their total planned exhibition area has already set a new record for the CICPE. Among them, 18 Italian companies will bring specialty consumer goods and high-end products, further enhancing the international profile of the expo.

Meanwhile, the CPPIT provincial committee has actively engaged with the global business community, inviting 15 business delegations totalling 128 representatives from overseas, covering 13 countries and regions, including the US, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Italy, and Singapore. Leveraging the CICPE, it is hoped that the delegations will gain an in-depth understanding of FTP policies and industrial opportunities and engage in economic and trade negotiations, investment cooperation, and supply-demand matching to build efficient bridges for cross-border economic collaboration.
