The 35th International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) - Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) Asian Cup was held at the Wuyuanhe Stadium in Haikou from Feb. 4-8th. During the event, China Mobile’s Hainan Branch set up a dedicated service point in the event reception area, providing Free Trade Port access cards and offering information and support for international athletes and their teams from different Asian countries participating in the event.

The Asian Cup was the first major international sports event held in the Hainan Free Trade Port since the start of island-wide special customs operations. This top-level event attracted large numbers of athletes, technical officials, and fans from all around the world to Haikou to participate in or watch the competition. In recent years, with more and more international sporting events and entertainment activities being held in Haikou, the demand for communication support for international participants has gotten more and more pressing.

China Mobile’s Hainan Branch provided bilingual service guides and professional staff for the Asian Cup event, simplifying the application process and helping international participants quickly access the local communication network and complete the set up process. China Mobile Hainan offers a range of short term Free Trade Port cards valid for 7-30 days aimed at international travelers, with automatic account cancellation on expiration, meaning that users don’t need to visit a China Mobile store to cancel their accounts.

A China Mobile Hainan Branch representative commented that international communication services will continue to be improved with a focus on major international sporting events, exhibitions, and performances, optimizing cross-border communication and service efficiency and convenience for travelers from far and wide.
