On the evening of December 18th, nearly a thousand tourism industry representatives from 101 countries and regions were in attendance at the "Nihao China - Hainan Night" promotion event. As one of the key pre-event of this year's China International Travel Mart (CITM), attendees found themselves immersed in the diverse charm of Hainan as an international tourist destination.

Taking place from December 19-21 at the International Convention and Exhibition Center, CITM 2025 is the first high-level exhibition held after the start of island-wide special customs operations for the Hainan Free Trade Port. With 65,000m² of exhibition area, the three-day expo includes Local, Domestic, International exhibition pavilions as well as tourism consumption and cultural tourism areas.

The choreographed cultural performances interspersed throughout the evening were not only enjoyable to watch, they also showed off how Hainan has integrated it's cultural heritage and tourism experiences.

Prior to culminating in an immersive theatrical performance titled "Hainan's Magical Night,” five of the province’s “international tourism ambassadors" from China, the UK, Belarus, Indonesia, Canada gave presentations on Hainan's six premium themed tourism routes.

1. The "Northern Urban Leisure and Aerospace Study Tour" combines rocket launch observation in Wenchang with the lively atmosphere of Haikou’s historic district.

2. The "Eastern Sports and Medical Wellness Tour" brings together the joy of surfing in Wanning with the wellness treatments at Boao Lecheng.

3. The "Southern Sunny Coast and Luxury Resort Tour" suggests luxurious vacations and duty-free shopping in Yalong and Haitang bays in Sanya.

4. The "Central Rainforest Exploration and Ethnic Customs Tour" delves into the rainforest and explores local ethnic culture.

5. The "Northwestern History, Culture and Theme Park Tour" connects the thousand-year-old cultural heritage of Dongpo Academy with the modern joy of Haihua Island in Danzhou.

6. And, the "Western Archaeology and Mountain Adventure Tour" explores the primitive scenes of Bawangling and the habitat of the Hainan Gibbon.

Six routes, six choices that showcase Hainan's comprehensive tourism resources across land, sea, and air, that fuse old and new, local and foreign, and extend a sincere invitation to sunny Hainan to tourists from all over the world.

A travel agent from Europe said, "The convenience brought by the new policies, especially the improved experience in shopping and entry/exit, will become a highly competitive new highlight when we design high-end island resort products for our customers.”
