2025 Tropical City Tourism Event Concludes in Sanya

The 2025 Tropical Coastal City Tourism Event, themed "Meet in Sanya to Co-Create the Future," successfully concluded in Sanya, Hainan, on November 21. The three-day event saw industry representatives from 37 tourist cities in 27 countries and regions, heads of international organizations, and domestic guests act as "global experience ambassadors," sharing innovative ideas and practical solutions for the sustainable development of global coastal tourism through immersive experiences and exchanges.

The event featured "experiential exchanges," breaking the boundaries of traditional conferences. The organizing committee carefully planned three major thematic itineraries to comprehensively showcase Sanya's innovative achievements in multiple areas. The guests visited the ecological restoration project at Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, explored the sustainable operation model of 1 Hotel in Haitang Bay, and learned about the integration of cultural spaces and wellness tourism at Tianya Books. At Hongzhou Pier, the guests experienced the latest developments in the city’s marine leisure industry; at the Yalong Bay Golf Club, they witnessed the high-level integration of sports tourism and high-quality life; at the Joy City’s Cloud Club, they discussed the innovative directions for the upgrading of tourism consumption; and at Binglang Valley and Sanya Romance Park, they explored Sanya's innovative approach to preserving traditional culture through modern tourism.

Through on-site visits, salon dialogues, and cultural experiences, the global experience ambassadors gained in-depth insight into Sanya’s approaches to ecological protection, cultural heritage, and industrial innovation, and embodied the event's philosophy of "thinking on the move and innovating through experience."

Following in-depth discussions, participants reached a significant consensus on the sustainable development of coastal cities. They emphasized that in the face of global climate change and industry-wide transformation, there was a call for a more open and inclusive cooperation mechanism to promote the green and innovative development of the tourism sector.

The event not only showcased Sanya's progress in coastal tourism but also forged a high-level platform for international tourism diplomacy. By establishing a cross-cultural and cross-field dialogue mechanism, the event contributed "Sanya's wisdom" to the construction of global coastal tourist cities and injected new impetus into industry transformation and development. Participants expressed hope that the event would serve as a springboard for a new chapter in the sustainable development of global coastal tourism.
